What do these terms mean and how are they relevant in the workplace? This session will help you make fraught conversations much easier
Some of these terms originated in the African American community and have now been adopted by politicians in the English-speaking West. And the connotations behind them have left many feeling afraid of being labelled as ‘woke’ or being cancelled for ‘saying the wrong thing’.
This workshop explains some commonly used terms, prepares us for when we might hear them being used, and explores ways in which we can build a work environment where we don’t label people or demand punishment, but instead jointly create conscious inclusion through courageous conversations.
