In 2021 to celebrate Black History Month, TFL and the Black Cultural Archives reimagined the classic London tube map to celebrate the Black creators, leaders and trailblazers who made a mark on this country. We have tried to provide context to the contributions of some of those trailblazers, although we could never do justice to all of them.
We invite you and your colleagues to learn about this history from a perspective that is often overlooked. From those who are described here, to those who aren’t, let’s open our minds to the people so many history books often forget.
