Our work in action
AON Bermuda
AON is a global professional services firm providing risk, retirement and health consulting.
We were engaged to deliver networking and negotiation skills workshops to the Bermuda office. The audience was junior employees for the networking workshop, imparting a set of skills for which training had not been previously provided. Senior level brokers attended the negotiation session as a skills refresher.
To tailor the content to the attendees, Convergent Consulting engaged with the AON training committee to identify the challenges faced by their people when working in the very small corporate population in Bermuda. This set of challenges is very different to those faced in a large commercial centre such as New York or London.
Our understanding of the corporate landscape in both Bermuda and large cities around the world is key to aiding island-based firms.
“I engaged Heeral to provide 2 corporate training workshops.
Heeral tailored both sessions to the audience (one was for more junior employees and the other for a skills refresher for senior level brokers) and actively reached out prior to the engagements to ensure the materials would be exactly what we were looking for.
Heeral is knowledgeable and relatable to her audience, and delivers her message with passion. I definitely recommend her for corporate training seminars!”

Tandem
Tandem is one of the newer challenger banks in the London banking ecosystem and has been built in partnership with its customers. From the outset, Tandem collaborated with the public to create a bank that works for the people. The aim has been to engage all communities, reflecting the full breadth of their diversity.
Convergent Consulting was brought in to advise Tandem as it worked to build a diverse workforce that would reflect the customers Tandem wants to serve.
Conversations, surveys and a town-hall style workshop made up the main structure of the work. Our role was to make it less intimidating and awkward to have candid conversations about Diversity & Inclusion. We helped Tandem’s people navigate these conversations successfully.
“Heeral has really helped drive our diversity agenda at Tandem, helping pick out the elephants in the room and getting some healthy discussion going at a company-wide forum. Heeral’s relaxed and genuine style resonated well with colleagues across the business and I received some excellent feedback on the workshop she held with us which was due to the preparation and passion she put into it.”

Nicholas Peters & Co.
Nicholas Peters & Co. is a leading Central London accountancy firm boasting a wide variety of UK and international clients.
The senior partners and managers at the company understand the importance of equipping their team with the right skills to work successfully with clients and colleagues from a wide variety of international and cultural backgrounds. Convergent Consulting was asked to work with them in designing a bespoke Communications workshop.
Using information from a survey of the attendees we delivered a programme which included specific training around personal branding, assertiveness and listening & questioning skills.
The learnings from this work were supported through follow-up coaching for all involved. Feedback has been positive, and Convergent Consulting continues to work with the team at Nicholas Peters & Co. as they improve their existing skills.
“I’d like to thank Convergent Consulting for the high quality training and personal development sessions. The service both before, during and after the sessions was first class. Our staff thoroughly enjoyed it and benefited from the guidance and support you have given.
We will definitely continue these courses as we feel the staff have learned non-technical skills that they wouldn’t have learned ordinarily. Thanks again and I hope this will be a long collaboration.”

The Honeypot Children’s Charity
The Honeypot Children’s Charity has been working to enhance the lives of young carers and vulnerable children aged 5 – 12 years old since 1996. It is the only charity in the UK to provide respite breaks and on-going outreach support throughout a child’s formative years.
Honeypot gives young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provides a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop their full potential.
Convergent Consulting was approached by the charity to help the leadership team in designing the organisation’s future strategy. Over the course of a month we worked with the CEO and her team to get an understanding of the organisation’s history, and how it and their roles have evolved over the years.
The result was a specifically-designed collaboration session which enabled the Honeypot leadership team to create a strategy that fits with its re-defined vision of the future. Convergent Consulting looks forward to continuing work with Honeypot.
“As an organisation, we came to a point where we had to review our strategy and it was agreed that we would need someone to come in and facilitate a strategy planning day with the Leadership Team. We approached Heeral and right from the on start we found her to be professional, patient and most importantly she had a real willingness to get to know us as individuals as well as the organisation.
She prepared a bespoke workshop for us which enabled us to really challenge our thought processes and equally review how we have been doing things in the past. We found her to be very engaging and supportive throughout the process and we all got a lot out of the day and afterwards! I would wholeheartedly recommend her services to any organisation that is looking at future plans as well as organisations that are exploring change.”
